Last Minute Bead Weaving!

A couple of weeks ago, we were due to go to a family party. Only at the last minute, did I realize that this would be an excellent opportunity to show off one of my new designs!

Resting on my work desk that week was the 'Wave' bracelet (see previous blog). Looking at it, I could see that if I made two rows, and set them face to face, mirroring each other, that would make an excellent choker.

The main problem to solve was which beads to 'share', however time was limited! I managed to get a sneaky hour in on Saturday morning, (party started at 12pm!), and then throw the necessary items into a tupper-ware box, and don't forget a tray!

Suffice it to say that I was trying to close jump rings as we were zooming down the fast lane of the M25 (please note I was not driving!). This is very difficult on the bumpy bit near Leatherhead! I didn't drop any, and the piece was completed by Reigate!

However, as you might expect the tension was a little suspect due to the rush, so the piece is a little wobbly, but it was very much admired on the day.

I shall have a little tinker, and add a beaded bead on the extension chain hopefully. Surely this must be the quickest choker in Surrey!
